Matt's Story - Burning Electrical Panel Threatens Home

On March 31st of 2007, my electrical panel in my home arced and erupted into flames. Were it not for my Kidde ABC fire extinguisher I believe my entire home would have been lost. I live in a very rural area and response from the fire department is at best 15 minutes. As soon as the lights flickered and I realized something was wrong, I got my extinguisher and quickly extinguished the panel, which was entirely in flames and was starting to burn the floor joists above it. On behalf of my family and myself I wish to thank-you whole-heartedly for your efficient, affordable, and most importantly effective equipment. Being out of my house for a week while electricians replaced the panel, was but an inconvenience when compared to the alternative of a lost home.
