Overview
The ADLCU is an optional location control unit for digital linear heat cable. Additional to the sensor cable, it monitors the cable and identifies along the length of the cable where the alarm condition has occurred.
Application
For applications where long lengths of cable are installed, such as cable tunnels, road tunnels and conveyor belts, the ADLCU can detect along the length of cable the location of the alarm event. A maximum of 3km of Alarmline II digital sensor cable may be attached to the unit.
Installation friendly
The FM approved ADLCU has been designed to work exclusively with Alarmline II digital linear heat detection (LHD) cables. The ADLCU is installed between a single length of digital LHD cable and a conventional fire alarm control zone or addressable module. It is able to locate and display an alarm point up to 3000 metres along LHD cable. An important design feature of the ADLCU is the uninterrupted operation of the conventional zone or addressable module regardless of any faults that may occur in the ADLCU, such as loss as power to the unit itself. The unit is simple to install and operate.
