This product has been discontinued effective October 1, 2023.
With the launch of our new smart alarms, we’ve made the decision to discontinue support for the Kidde RemoteLync Monitor, effective October 1, 2023.
The Kidde app and cloud will be updated and no longer support RemoteLync Monitor devices. As a result, users will no longer be able to use the device to monitor smoke and carbon monoxide alarms or receive alerts and notifications beyond October 1, 2023. However, those who have a RemoteLync camera can continue to use the device and service.
This decision to discontinue RemoteLync Monitor support is part of our ongoing commitment to streamlining and enhancing our smart safety product lineup. Our overriding goal is to always deliver the best possible solutions and latest innovations for home safety needs, and our new line of smart alarms offers the latest hazard detection technology and more interconnected functionality providing full coverage of home safety threats.
For existing users, prior to October 1, 2023, we recommend backing up any important app data for your current RemoteLync Monitor, such as your event log, as this data will be inaccessible after the specified date. You also will have received an email update regarding exclusive offers on Kidde devices to help ensure your home remains safe and protected. If you are an existing user and have not received an email update, please reach out to Kidde customer support.
Any new Kidde customers can visit Kidde HomeSafe*™ enabled devices for our latest comprehensive suite of smart home safety devices, which help to protect against smoke, carbon monoxide (CO), water leaks, frozen pipes, and indoor air quality issues. You can also count on the Kidde app for mobile alerts, device replacement reminders, and to test, or Smart Hush, false alarms.** Plus, these devices offer compatibility with both Amazon Alexa and Google Home.
At Kidde, we remain committed to continuous innovation and delivering the highest standard of home safety products. We truly value our loyal customers and their trust in our brand.
*These smart alarms are designed for homes with hardwired alarms, so please ensure that you have the necessary wiring in place before proceeding with the upgrade. If your home does not currently have hardwired alarms, we kindly advise you to shop our line of battery-powered alarms on our website.
** This feature is only available on devices with the Kidde HomeSafe™ feature, not other interconnected alarms, when you are connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the alarm.

- Works with existing smoke and carbon monoxide alarms.
Product Description
RemoteLync notifies homeowners of a home emergency when they're away – offering peace of mind at a great value. Ideal for a primary residence, vacation home or rental property, the device plugs into a single outlet, listens for a smoke or carbon monoxide alarm, and uses the home's WiFi to remotely alert the homeowner on iOS®- and Android™ - compatible phones and tablets.*
The RemoteLync monitoring solution works with a home's existing alarms and WiFi and does not require additional products or monthly fees. It uses patented technology to distinguish smoke and carbon monoxide alarms from background noise to reduce the chance of a nuisance alarm. When an alarm triggers the device, RemoteLync communicates via a free app that can be customized to notify an entire network, including neighbors and family, or give you, or someone in your network, the option to dial 911.
Remote Monitoring - Why it's Needed
